Re: Our friggin’ awesome new theme/icon

Dudes and ladies, our sweet admin Q just gave the blog a sassy new theme that I played around with (I think I made it worse) and it is MUCH BETTER than the gross pucey pink thing we had going on, so check that out if you want.

Also notice the handy-dandy bar on the bottom of the blog page thing that will take you to affiliates, links to the mods’ blogs, that kind of thing. Once again, thanks go to admin Q for setting that up. It’s pretty great. I’ll also be writing up an FAQ very soon.

You may also notice that the majestic Bilnye Sciguy is our icon. He will be on your dash often now, distributing fantroll-related science wisdom.

I just wanna say I think it’s so cool that you guys as a community really created a mascot and a personality for the blog that it didn’t have before. You’re great followers.

Heeeeeeey guys!  I’m going to shove some time in to start modding again. (And so is Jake!)  Of course, with a new start means a new rule.

Quirk questions, while we don’t MIND, are the majority of the types of questions we get.  We are not a quirk generator.  Put some hard thought into your quirks, read previous questions about quirks for ideas (because a lot of those are repeats.)  ONLY shoot us an ask if you’re absolutely desperate.

I might make a FAQ about quirks, modi, specibi, titles, what have you.

Sorry for the unexpected hiatus!

As you know, school has recently started up, and as such, obviously, all three mods are still adjusting!  So, in the meantime, I’m going to make this a more official hiatus and we’ll see you guys soon!

Closing the ask box for a bit

Dear followers, thank you for submitting so many questions!

We have a couple of regular submissions to post, as well as a great fankid you’ll be seeing on Friday. While that’s happening, we’ve got about 45 asks to answer!

We have some followers who have been waiting a long time for answers just because the ask box keeps filling up with new questions, so we’re closing the box for a while and we’re going to completely empty it over the next few days by answering everything that we’ve been asked and publishing all the submissions. When that’s done, we’ll reopen and that way, you’re much more likely to get an answer right away.

Thanks so much for your patience and for being a great group of people.

All our remaining asks are about classes and aspects! I’ve been saving those to be answered all together, so stick around for a lot of hypotheses about the roles and abilities of different class/aspect combinations.

Guys, please, please, please as a reminder, tag your review request submissions with “troll review wednesday”!!! There’s a reason we have that tag.

I also never thought I’d have to address this again but the “advice” tag, as I have been over, is for submitting helpful advice, not asking for it!! I’ve specified this who knows how many times.

As another reminder, “regular submission” is used for REGULAR submissions!  Not review requests (which, again, are supposed to be tagged as “troll review wednesday”.)

Last friendly reminder of the day, we do have a fanhuman friday where we showcase awesome fankids!

Alright!  We’ve added all the tags to the side bar.

• The tag for Troll Review Wednesday submissions - as it’s always been - is “troll review wednesday”.  It’s easily clickable in the sidebar on our main blog!
• Important announcements or opportunities will be tagged as such (ie. the tag is “announcement”.
• To find helpful advice on forming fantrolls, you just have to go to the “advice” tag.
• Showcased fantrolls/awesome fantrolls will be tagged with “regular submission”
• And, finally, to check to see if your ask has been answered (especially if you’re on anonymous), you just have to look at the tag “scire”!

And again, all of these tags are located on the sidebar.

I forgot the asks were screwed up.  If anyone sent in an ask between today and yesterday, I recommend resending it to get a legitimate answer.
